Entrepreneurship Conference

October 11 , 2019, Amsterdam

ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

During their ESP career, students are bombarded with questions about the quality of the assessment tools they use or the clinical reasoning behind a specific choice of intervention. During this conference, one of the main questions is about life post-ESP: how do you make money as a physio?

Alumni talks

Who can give you better advice than ESP alumni are actually running succesful physio businesses?

We have invited three (actually four), great speakers for a great story, inspiration and advice!

Interactive Workshops

On top of the inspirational stories from our alumni, we are preparing for some nice interactive workshops on different topics between students, alumni and other guests. These workshops are done in smaller groups, depending on preference and room capacity*

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS

Where do I start? How much money do I need? How do set up a contract? How do I recruit patients? How do stand out from the rest? How do I deliver quality when time constraints are huge? If you are interested to these questions, and more, check out the full schedule below and register now!

especially for you

In the last few years, we have noticed that many students are interested in setting up their own business at some point in their life after ESP but are not yet sure about certain details. On the other hand, we have also noticed that some students do not now about the financial aspects of being a physio, ethical concerns that are part of the real world and how modern technology, such as websites and social media can be used to your advantage.

In our intense program, there’s not much time for teaching about the business side of physiotherapy. We are therefore very happy with these alumni that are willing to share their experiences with our students! In the end, entrepreneurship is all about hard-work and being creative, so you just need to go for it and that happens to be just to attitude of many of our students and alumni. Their stories also inspire me and give tons of ideas for now and the future!

In the final phase of ESP, the course “Entrepreneurship” allows students to come up with their own business idea and turn that into a real business plan. As this conference mainly targets our current first and second year students, we hope that they will be inspired by the stories from ESP alumni. Even for those that have no ambitions of setting up their own business, this conference should provide awareness and advice. How to sign your first contract and understanding how your physio work is funded, is vital for any modern world-class physio!
