As of July 2014, graduates of physiotherapy programs at a university of applied science in the Netherlands, will receive the Bachelor of Science title. Although this might not be any direct benefit for our alumni directly, it is a great achievement for our program and we are happy to finally match the title of the degree, with international titles. For prospective and current students, this is a huge step forwards!
Another recent accomplishment in the status of excellence within the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (HvA). The entire ESP programma is now an “Honours Programme” which gives us extra status.
Last, but not least, the NVAO (Dutch and Flemish Accreditation Organization) has awared us with another very special status: “Small and Intensive Education”. This special hallmark is normally reserved for special universities only, so we are very proud to have received this confirmation by the NVAO. In the near future, this status allows us to set our own specific entry criteria and a few more benefits.
All in all, 2014 was a great year for us and we are looking forward to making more steps forward and hopefully upgrade our program towards a Master of Science in the near future…
